We understand that our Website may be visited by users all over the world, and that various national existing or future privacy regulations may be applicable now or in the future. It is our understanding that by complying with the GDPR - the so-called “privacy gold standard” – we will also comply with other national privacy regulations. 1.3 Processing of Data, Purpose, and Legal Basis
We process your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
The legal basis for all our processing activities is based on Art. 6 (1) GDPR. You will receive further information in the context of the presentation of the individual processing activities.
1.4 Storing and Deleting Data
The duration of the data storage depends on the respective data category and processing activity. If the storage period is not further specified, your personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose or legal basis for storage ceases to apply. Personal data will not be deleted if storage is required by law and in the event of a possible legal dispute.
1.5 Data Security
For the best possible security of user data our service through the Website is provided via a secure SSL connection between your server and the browser. That means that the data shall be transferred in encrypted form.
1.6 Transmission to Service Providers
We use service providers for the provision of our offers. These service providers act only according to our instructions and are contractually obligated to comply with the provisions of Art. 28 GDPR.

We do not use automated decision-making including profiling when processing data concerning our website or app.

2.1 Server Logs
Nature and purpose of data processing:
We collect data on each visit to our website https://www.vectornator.io/ ("Website") (so-called server log files), which include the name of the Website visited, the date and time of the visit, the data amount transferred, information on a successful call, the browser type and version, the user’s operating system, the referrer URL (the page visited before), the IP address and the requesting provider as well as the country code, language, name of device as well as name and version of the operating system, if a mobile end device is being used.
We use these server log files to ensure a trouble-free connection, usability, and functionality of our website and to evaluate the system safety and stability.

When personal data (such as the IP address) are stored, the legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR based on our legitimate interest in quality assurance and website security.

The recipient of the data is a service provider. As processor on behalf, the service provider is obliged to process the data only within the scope of our instructions set forth in a data processing agreement.
2.2 Emails
Nature and purpose of data processing:
On the website you have the option to register for email communication. When doing so, you have to provide an email address. To this email address we send out newsletters in which we inform you about our services and products described on our website. Additionally we send emails for analytics and research purposes. Regarding these services we store the IP address, operating system, browser ID and other information about the system and connection. We also analyze how users consume our newsletter.
Legal basis:
The data processing for sending and analyzing our newsletters as described above is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR).
Recipient:
Recipient of the data is Braze, Inc., New York City, 330 W 34th St 18th floor, New York, NY 10001 (“Braze”). Braze acts as processors on behalf of us. This means we have concluded the necessary data processing agreement in which the service provider is obliged to process the data only in accordance with our instructions.
Transfer to third countries:
Adequate safeguards for the transfer of your data to countries outside of the EU/EAA are in place. The data processing agreements with the service providers include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the EU Commission and adequate guarantees that data protection obligations will be met.
Storage duration:
We will process your personal information until your consent is revoked.
Revocation of consent:
If you do not want to receive any newsletters by us in the future and/or wish to object to the analysis of your data, please use the "unsubscribe" link in each newsletter or send us an email to hello@linearity.io.
2.3 Forum
Nature and purpose of the processing:
In order for our user-base to be able to communicate and share experiences with respect to our product we offer a forum, in which users can post comments and interact with each other and us. In order to be able to access the forum a user account is required, for which we process your name and email address.
Legal basis:
The processing takes place in the context of the contractual usage of our services and is based on fulfilling our service contract with the user (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
Recipient:
The recipient of the data is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, Luxembourg, L-1855, Luxembourg. Customer data is stored exclusively on servers located in the EU. As processor on behalf, the service provider is obliged to process the data only within the scope of our instructions set forth in a data processing agreement.
A further recipient of the data is Civilized Discourse Construction Kit, Inc., 8 The Green, 8383 Dover, DE 19901, USA.. As processor on behalf, the service provider is obliged to process the data only within the scope of our instructions set forth in a data processing agreement.
Transfer to third countries:

Storage duration:
We will process your personal data as described above for as long as you have an active user account. When deleting your user account we will remove your name associated with posts. The content of the post, however, will remain in the forum.
2.4 Contacting us (Contact form or Email)

If you send us an email or contact us via the contact form on our website, your name, email address and other information you provide are processed by us in order to work on your inquiry or to be able to contact you at a later time for follow up questions.

This data is processed only on the basis of our legitimate interest to offer efficient communication channels to the public (Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR), or on the basis of initiating a or communicating under an existing business relationship (Art. 6 (1) b. GDPR).
Recipient:
The recipient of the data is Groove Networks LLC, 2 Dearborn St. Newport, RI United States (“GrooveHQ”). GrooveHQ acts as a processor on behalf of us. This means we have concluded the necessary data processing agreement in which the service provider is obliged to process the data only in accordance with our instructions.

2.5 Feature requests
Nature and purpose of data processing:
We offer our users the opportunity to submit feature requests for our products. In order to submit a feature request you need to log in. To that end, you can either use an existing Github or Google account or sign up using your email address.

This data is processed only on the basis of our legitimate interest to offer efficient communications channels to the public in order to improve our services (Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR), or on the basis of initiating a or communicating under an existing business relationship (legal basis Art. 6 (1) b. GDPR).

2.6 Content Delivery Network
Nature and purpose of data processing:
In order to ensure that content on our website is displayed securely and promptly, we use a so-called Content Delivery Network (CDN). A CDN works as a decentralized distributing resource for content and can prevent certain types of malware attacks and improves the overall speed of our website. When you connect to our website this triggers a request to servers of our CDN to deliver content. In order to connect to the servers your IP address is processed.

We process your data as described based on our legitimate interest to offer a secure and fast website (Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR).
Recipients:
The recipient of the data is the service Amazon CloudFront offered by Amazon Web Services Inc. in the United States Amazon Web Services, Inc., 410 Terry Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109-5210. 2.7 User Attribution
Nature and purpose of the processing:
We make use of user attribution to match our users to the source that drove their install. With attribution data, we can measure campaign performance, run effective retargeting campaigns, optimize our creative assets, and more. To do so we use Adjust.
Legal basis:
The processing is carried based on our legitimate interest of providing App users with meaningful information regarding the use of our services (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
Recipients:
Recipients of the data are Adjust GmbH, Saarbruecker Str. 37A, 10405 Berlin, Germany (“Adjust”) and Braze, Inc., New York City, 330 W 34th St 18th floor, New York, NY 10001 (“Braze”). Adjust and Braze act as processors on behalf of us. This means we have concluded the necessary data processing agreement in which the respective service provider is obliged to process the data only in accordance with our instructions.

2.8 Job Applications
Nature and purpose of data processing:
If you decide to apply for a position at our company, we process your personal data in order to review your application.
In addition, we may also have received data from third parties (e.g. job exchanges such as Indeed, LinkedIn, XING, or recruitment agencies etc.) if you have applied to us via these.
We may also process personal data that we have obtained from publicly accessible sources (e.g. professional social networks).
The categories of personal data processed usually include your name, surname, name affixes, contact data (such as private address, (mobile) telephone number, e-mail address) as well as data contained in your application (cover letter, curriculum vitae, (work) certificates, proof of qualifications, nationality as well as other data collected in the course of the job interviews or related communications).
If you have voluntarily provided special categories of personal data (such as health data, religious affiliation, degree of disability) in your application letter or in the course of the application process, these data will also be processed to the extent permitted by law.
Legal basis:
Data relating to your person are generally collected directly from you and are processed as part of the application process based on Art. 6 Para. 1 b), Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Art. 26 Para. 1 BDSG.

The recipient of the data is Recruitee B.V. Keizersgracht 313, 1016 EE Amsterdam, The Netherlands. As processor on behalf, the service provider is obliged to process the data only within the scope of our instructions set forth in a data processing agreement.
Retention Period:
If your application leads to the establishment of an employment contract, your data will continue to be stored and used for the purposes of the usual administrative and organizational processes and to carry out the employment relationship in compliance with the applicable legal regulations.
In case we were unable to consider your application, your application data will be deleted six months after rejection.
2.9 Talent Pool
Nature and purpose of data processing:
If we are unable to offer you a position in our company based on your initial application, we may ask you if we can hold on to your application for future opportunities. However, we will only keep your application information as detailed above with your consent.
Legal basis:
The data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR).
Recipients:

2.10 Website Analytics
Nature and purpose of data processing:
This website uses technology based on cookies that helps us better understand how the website is used. We do this by compiling reports about activity on the site that do not identify specific individuals. For this purpose, your IP address is transmitted to a service provider using analysis cookies. 2.11 Personalized Advertisement
Nature and purpose of data processing:
We use cookie-based technologies that help us deliver more effective and personalized advertising.
This allows us to target visitors to our online offering for the display of advertising (so-called "targeted advertising"). Nature and purpose of data processing:
We embed videos on some of our pages to display interactive content. To assess the practicality of this content we track anonymized data regarding the interaction with the embedded videos. Such data includes views, watch time and heatmaps. To ensure that all newly collected data will be anonymized and cannot be deanonymized we use Wistia’s Privacy Mode.

The processing is carried out based on our legitimate interest of providing our website users with the most educational and most useful content possible (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

Facebook and we use the Page Insights function to process statistical data from users of our Facebook pages (see also the agreement at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum). This involves the processing of data in the form of so-called 'page insights', which are described in more detail at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/information_about_page_insights_data.
Evaluations and statistics are generated in the form of page insights from the usage data of the Facebook pages, which support us in improving our marketing activities and our external presence. We may also learn about users and their behavior who interact with or use our Facebook Pages to display relevant content and develop features that may be of interest to them. These page statistics show us, for example, which people from certain target groups interact most with our Facebook Page or which content on the Facebook Page was visited, shared, or clicked when and how often. Hotjar
We use a service from Hotjar, Ltd Dragonara Business Centre 5th Floor, Dragonara Road, Paceville St Julian's STJ 3141, Malta, in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service based on user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. 4.2 Personalized Advertisement
Google Campaign Manager
This website uses remarketing functions in Campaign Manager of Google Ltd, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. These functions make it possible to present the website visitor with interest-based advertising within Google's advertising network. For this purpose, a cookie is stored on the visitor's computer.
