What does the message “WDDocument error 1” on my Mac screen mean?

You can have only one version of the Vectornator app installed on your device. Simply delete the old version of Vectornator, then you will be able to install the new version, that will solve the problem.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: BEFORE (!) you delete the Vectornator App, you need to save your previously unsaved documents in a folder. If your documents are saved in the Finder menu, they will remain saved even if you uninstall the Vectornator App.

What are the supported formats for Vectornator?

Vectornator supports a variety of different file formats!

You can import, open, and edit the following file types in Vectornator: .vectornator, .fig, .svg, .pdf and .ai.

Raster images like .jpeg and .png can be imported and opened inside Vectornator. You can also turn them into vector shapes using the Auto Trace feature.

You can also use Vectornator to edit Wacom files generated using the Bamboo Slate.

You can also export files from Vectornator in the following formats:

Non-Vector file formats:

  • .JPG – Good for web images and photographs.
  • .PNG – Good for images with transparency.

Editable Vector file formats:

  • .vectornator - Vectornator's standard file format.
  • .SVG – Good for vector files, designs with separate layers, icons, and logos.
  • .AI - You can also use the Send to Adobe Illustrator function to directly send your document to your desktop Adobe Illustrator software.
  • .PDF - Good for fillable forms, posters, or other print materials.

Can I sync my Vectornator work to iCloud?

Starting with Vectornator 4.4, it's possible to sync your documents across different devices with iCloud.

You can also import and export from/to iCloud Drive from all of your devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac). Simply tap on Export > Files > iCloud or Save in your iCloud folder from Mac.

Is Vectornator Available on Android?

Unfortunately, our software is only available on iOS devices, iPhones and iPads, there are no future plans of supporting Android at the moment.

Vectornator is also available on Mac. It requires macOS 11 Big Sur or newer to install.

Do you plan to release an Android/ Windows version of Vectornator?

We don’t currently have any plans to release an Android or Windows version of Vectornator.

Can I download an old version of Vectornator for Catalina OS?

With Vectornator 4.0, we dropped support for macOS 10.15 Catalina because our latest update relies on advanced technologies that are not available on Catalina. Vectornator will provide cutting edge performance on the smoother macOS 11 Big Sur. So, if you're not able to update from the App Store it's because you need to upgrade to Big Sur.
